Construction lasted from 1987 to 1995, and it was opened to the public on 12 November 1997.
Opening hours is 8:30am to 5:30pm / Tuesday to Sunday ( closed on Monday)
The museum put on display around 15,000 artifacts and documents to portray cultural norms, lives and foundation of 54 Vietnamese ethnicities. Across display halls lay images and documentary films that depict all tangible and intangible cultural aspects, notable features in life and creativity of ethnicities. The display hall comprises 9 themes in a very scientific order, which enable the audience to easily appreciate cultural peculiarities and traditional values of each ethnicity in Vietnam
And An outdoor exhibit at the museum, is referred to the typical traditional houses of different minority, all metarials are brought from different regions, you should not miss it.
